1 lb. butter
2 cups sugar
10 egg yolks
Juice of 1 orange
Juice of 1 lemon
1 cup bottled grape juice
1/2 cup molasses (fancy)
1 lb. currants
1 lb. seedless raisins
1 lb. sultana raising
1 - 8 ounce pkg. mixed peel
1 - 8 ounce pkg. citron peel
2 - 8 ounce pkg. candied cherries (red and green)
1 - 8 ounce pkg. mixed fruit
2 pineapple rings
3/4 lb. blanched almonds
Grated rind of one orange
Grated rind of one lemon
5 cups sifted all purpose flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. soda
10 egg whites

Directions:
Cream butter, add sugar gradually and continue creaming until fluffy.

Blend in yolks and beat thoroughly. Add orange juice, lemon juice, grape juice and molasses. Mixture will look curdled.

Combine fruit, nuts, orange and lemon rind in a large bowl. Sift 2 cups of flour over all.

Add remaining 3 cups of flour, spices and soda (sifted together twice). Add to egg yolk mixture. Add coated fruit and mix well.

Beat egg whites stiff and fold in.

Place pan of water in oven. Heat oven to 300ºF.
Fruit pans: for the big pan - 4 brown and 1 wax on bottom. On greased sides - 1 foil, 2 brown and 1 wax paper greased (bake 4 hours and 20 minutes.)

Middle pan - same as big. Bake 4 hours.

Small pan - 3 brown and 1 wax paper on bottom. Sides same as above. Bake 3 3/4 hours.
