1 cup butter, softened 250ml
2 cups sugar 500ml
2 eggs, beaten 2
1 tsp vanilla 5 ml
2 ½ cups mashed ripe bananas (approx 5) 625ml
3 cups all purpose flour 750ml
2 tsp baking powder 10 ml
2 tsp baking soda 10 ml
1 cup sour cream 250 ml
1 tsp cinnamon 5 ml
½ cup firmly packed brown sugar 125ml
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips 300g
Directions:

Grease 9 X 13 pan (metal is better than glass)
Place nuts and or raisins in bottom of pan
Cut bread into thick slices and place in pan. (I cut slices in half crosswise for smaller buns)
Mix melted butter, pudding, sugar, milk and cinnamon and pour over bread slices.
Cover with wax paper and place in fridge overnight.

In the morning:
Heat oven to lowest temperature and put pan in for about ½ hour or so until dough rises. Usually when the buns are touching each other and about the height of the sides of the pan is good. They will continue to rise as they cook.

Take pan out of oven, preheat to 350 degrees.
Put pan back in and cook for 30-45 minutes, until buns are golden and sound hollow when tapped.
Turn out onto a tray, letting the sauce drip down between the buns. You may have to scrape some of the topping out and spread it back onto the buns.
