1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
11/2 cup finely chopped dates
31/2 cups rice krispies
coconut or icing sugar

Directions:
Directions:
In a sauce pan cook dates, brown sugar, and eggs until thick but not stiff.
Cool slightly and add rice krispies.
Mix well. Using wet hands( to prevent sticking) roll into small balls. Roll balls in coconut or icing sugar.

With some attention to detail these can be made gluten free.
Make sure the rice krispies are gluten free (Kellogs brand are not), and that the dates have not been dusted with gluten containing flour so that they do not stick together and that the icing sugar is gluten free.
