1 c. dates chopped
2/3 c. dark brown sugar
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. butter
6 oz. choc. chips
2 eggs beaten
1/3 c. orange juice
1/3 c. milk
1 t. baking soda
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 t. salt
2/3 c. walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Place dates, brown sugar, water and butter in pan and simmer until dates are soft. Remove from heat and add choc. chips. Add eggs, orange juice and milk and stir. Combine baking soda, flour,salt and walnuts and fold into date mixture. Pour into greased 9x13 pan and bake for 30 min. at 350 degrees. Allow to cool and drizzle glaze over bars. Cut into squares.

3 c. conf. sugar
1 T. grated orange zest
1/3 c. milk

Combine and mix well.
