2 Tubes (8 oz. each) refrigerated crescent rolls
2 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled and cored
3/4 Cup sugar
1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
3/4 cup Mountain Dew soda
Ground cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Unroll crescent rolls and separate dough into 16 triangles. Cut each apple into 8 wedges. Wrap a crescent roll around each apple wedge. Place in a greased 13 x 9 baking dish.

In a bowl, combine sugar and melted butter and sprinkle over rolls. Slowly pour the soda around the rolls, not on top of rolls and do not stir. Sprinkle with cinnamon, as much as you like.

Bake uncovered at 350º for 35-40 minute3s or until golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream.

Note: This recipe can be split in half if you want only eight dumplings. Easy!!
