Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/2 c Warm Water
1/2 c Warm Milk
1/3 c Sugar
1 package Active Dry Yest (2 1/4 tsp)
1 Egg
1/3 c Softened Butter
3 3/4 c Flour
1 tsp Salt

1/4 c butter melted (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
1) Combine warm - baby's bathwater warm - water, milk, and sugar in a warm bowl. Sprinkle yeast over top and wait 10 minutes or until it gets nice and foamy.

2) Mix in egg and butter.

3) Knead in flour and salt adding a little at a time until you have a nice springy dough that comes away from the bowl. (I use my kitchen aid and don't even measure the flour... just add until it's soft to touch but not sticky)

4) Cover and put somewhere warm** to rise (30 minutes - 1 hour)

5) Once doubled cut in half (scissors work well) and each half into twelve inch circle. Brush melted butter over round.

6) Cut each circle into 8 wedges and roll wedges wide end to narrow. Place point side down on cookie sheet and rise for another hour. Meanwhile preheat oven to 400.

7) Bake 10-15 minutes or until golden.

Personal Notes:
**Rising is so important. It's what makes your rolls light and fluffy. I turn on my oven then turn it off before it gets 'hot'. I put a pan of hot water in there next to the dough and I can always get a nice rise. Also, hot water next to/below the dough in a closed microwave oven works well because its airtight... if you can fit it!

*Have used this with great results for cinnamon rolls.

*You can make this in a bread machine if you take it out after the first rise.
