3/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp. flour, heaping
2 egg yolks
1 egg
1 1/2 blocks semi-sweet chocolate, melted
2 cups milk
vanilla
Meringue:
2 egg whites
4 tbsp. sugar
pinch of cream of tarter

Directions:
Directions:
Warm milk in double boiler or heavy pan. Add remaining ingredients and cook until thick. Pour in cooked pie shell. For the meringue, beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar and cream of tarter. Spoon onto pie, then bake until brown.

Mom's always came out runny no matter what she did. At least until the last few years when Angela convinced her to mix all the ingredients together and microwave till thick. The last few years her chocolate pies were perfect but I think we all missed the runny ones a little bit!
