1 cup Old Fashioned Oatmeal (not instant or quick cooking)
2 ½ cups plain Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda
½ tsp Salt
2 sticks butter, softened to room temperature
½ cup Brown Sugar, packed
1 cup Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
2 large Eggs
1 cup toasted Pecans, chopped
12oz Chocolate Chips (dark chocolate is great)
¾ cup Toffee Bits (Heath Bits ’o Brickle)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter with brown and white sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat about two more minutes. Add vanilla.
Toast pecans in 300° oven for 10 minutes, cool, then chop. Use food processor or blender to finely chop oats, then mix chopped oats with flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir the dry ingredient mixture into creamed butter mixture. Add chocolate chips, pecans, and toffee bits. Drop by rounded tablespoons (or use cookie scoop) about an inch apart on heavy cookie sheet. Bake at 325° for 15 min (or until lightly browned). Cool in pan about 1 min, then remove to wire rack for continued cooling.
