3/4 C. Sugar
3 egg whites
pinch Cream of Tartar
pinch Salt
flavoring
coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Put sugar and egg whites in glass or metal bowl. Put over pot of hot water and whisk until slightly warm. (do not cook) Warm egg whites get lighter and fluffier. Add cream of tartar and salt. Whip until stiff peaks form. Add a little flavoring. I like orange. Stripe a decorating bag with paste food coloring. Put mixture in bag and pipe swirly stacks on waxed paper. Bake at 200º for 1 1/2 hrs.
