1 large can chickpeas/garbanzo beans drained and rinsed
1/4 cup tahini
1/6 cup olive oil
1/6 cup warm water
juice of 1 - 1 1/2 lemons
2 - 4 cloves of garlic (more or less to taste)
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cumin
freshly ground black pepper to taste

and ... Carolyn's secret and special ingredient ... ... a couple of dashes of Worcestershire sauce! It makes all the difference! Omit to make gluten free.

Directions:
Directions:
Combine chickpeas, tahini, water, oil, and juice of 1 lemon in food processor or blender. Process until desired texture.

Add garlic, salt, cumin, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Blend. Taste and add additional seasonings (including, perhaps, additional lemon juice).

Enjoy.

Carolyn likes lots of garlic - use to taste.
Gluten Free if Worcestershire sauce is omitted.
