1 c. sugar
4 T. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
2 T. butter, melted
5 T. lemon juice
grated rind of 1 lemon
3 well-beaten egg yolks
1 1/2 c. milk
3 stiff beaten egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Add blended sugar, flour & salt to butter. Add lemon juice & rind & blend well. Add to egg yolks & milk & stir well. Fold in egg whites. Pour into greased pan or baking dish & place in pan of hot water. Bake in moderate oven 45 min. When baked, desert will have custard on the bottom with sponge cake on top.
