Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/3 cup Aloe Vera Liquid
2 tablespoons Castor Oil

Directions:
Directions:
Add aloe Vera liquid and castor oil to a lidded container. Shake to combine. Apply to eye area with a cotton pad.

The aloe Vera liquid and castor oil will separate. This is normal; simply shake your lidded container to re-combine. You can add two drops of Roman Chamomile or Lavender essential oils to this product. While both ingredients in this eye makeup remover are shelf stable (do not require refrigeration), check for mold or a change in odor if this product is more than a month old.

FYI - DIY Eye Makeup Remover Ingredients
Aloe Vera Liquid: The juice of the aloe plant is anti-inflammatory and antiseptic. It is also very soothing to the skin and will help reduce puffiness around the eyes.
Castor Oil: Castor oil is high in ricinoleic acid, which is antibacterial and antifungal. It is also high in omega 9 fatty acids, which nourish hair follicles and skin. It is an excellent oil for using in the delicate eye area and will encourage your eyelashes to grow longer and thicker.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Why DIY Eye Makeup Remover? It is often said that the eyes are the window to a person’s soul. Perhaps this is because your retinas are the only visible part of your central nervous system. I have to admit, when I first learned this, I panicked a little. The thought of absorbing some of my eye makeup remover directly into my central nervous system was sobering. I was using all conventional cosmetics and makeup remover on my eyes at the time, and a quick internet search told me that the pads I was wiping all over my eyes every night were full of ingredients that weren't healthy. I was using a “hypo allergenic” brand, thinking it would have better ingredients, but it still contained parabens and petroleum products. Even worse, many other types of eye makeup removers contain carcinogenic chemicals from the formaldehyde family.
