3 egg whites
3/4 c. fine sugar
1 1/2 c. shredded coconut
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually add 1/2 c. sugar. Beat until mixture holds shape. Sift remaining sugar over top and fold in. Add the shredded coconut and vanilla. Drop from a teaspoon onto buttered baking sheet. Garnish with a bit of cherry if desired. Bake at 250ºF for 20-30 minutes.
