1-Chicken, cut in 1 1/2" size 2-3 lbs.
2-onion-medium sized sliced
3-garlic-1 medium clove thinly sliced
4-ginger-1/4" small-thinly sliced
5-cumin seed-tip of a teaspoon
6-clove-pinch of ground clove
7-black pepper-pinch of ground black pepper
8-salt-to your taste
9-red chili powder-to your taste
10-cooking oil-2 Tbsp.
11-cilantro-for garnish
12-tomato-medium size
13-turmeric powder-tip of teaspoon
14-6 or 7 cardamom seeds

Directions:
1-Saute onion, garlic, and ginger in a pan in cooking oil.
2-When slightly brown, add cumin seed, clove powder, and black pepper. Stir all together.
3-Add chopped tomato, stir it and add a little water to make a thick paste. Also add turmeric.
4-After 15 minutes or 20, cooking on low heat, add chicken pieces to it & stir.
5-Keep the heat on the stove to high for about 3 to 5 minutes while stirring, and then bring heat to medium & let the chicken cook in its own juice.
6-Cook for about 10 minutes. Keep checking that it does not burn.
7-Lower the heat to low for 10 minutes.
8-Check for the tenderness and let it cook a few more minutes if needed.
9- Check for thickness of the gravy, taste of salt, and chili to your taste. Add cut cilantro & mix.
