3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 egg beaten
1/2 cup raisin water (from boiled raisins)
1 tsp. soda (in water)
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. cloves
salt
