Batter:
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. milk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Filling:
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. chopped nuts
2 T. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
In a large mixer add dry ingredients, incorporate shortening. Then add milk, eggs and vanilla, mix until combined. Mix together filling. Spread 1/2 of the batter on the bottom of a 13x9 baking dish, then cover with the filling. Then cover with remaining batter. Top with 1/2 cup of melted butter. Bake at 350º for 35 minutes, until lightly browned.
