Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 c. water
6 c. flour
1/2 c. nonfat dry milk
2 1/2 tsp. salt
2 packages yeast
1/3 c. warm water
1/2 c. warm honey
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 egg, beaten
1 c. old-fashioned oats

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, bring 2c. water to a boil. Remove from heat; stir in oats. Cool to room temperature.

In a large bowl, sift together next 3 ingredients. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in 1/3 c. warm water. Add oat mixture, honey, and oil to dry ingredients. Stir until a soft dough forms. Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead until dough becomes smooth and elastic. Or mix in mixer with a dough attachment and add flour until the dough starts to lick the bowl and machine knead.

Place in a large bowl sprayed with cooking spray, turning once to coat top of dough. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and punch down. Divide dough in half. Shape one-half of dough into 3 balls, graduated in size (like a snowman.) Place balls together on a greased baking sheet.

Brush the top of dough with egg. Place raisins on snowman for eyes, mouth and buttons. Place small piece of candied cherry on snowman for nose. Spray top of dough with cooking spray, cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size. Bake at 350 º until lightly browned and when tapped, sounds hollow. Place pretzels in place of arms and your snowman is ready to be dressed.

Personal Notes:
Becki started the tradition of making snowmen with Mandy and I. The Liscinski's and the Watson's have made snowmen for Christmas presents for years. It is a favorite holiday tradition. We make small snowmen because we found out that people were not eating the bread because the snowmen were so cute. It is so much fun dressing the snowmen with hats made out of old socks and putting scarves and wrapping our snowmen babies in bright red blankets. Great neighborhood Christmas gift.
