2 lb. frozen hash browns
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 can cream of chicken soup
2 c. grated cheddar cheese
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
2 c. sour cream

Topping:
2 c. crushed cornflakes
1/4 melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together all ingredients, except topping. Place in a lightly greased 13x9 baking pan. Mix together topping and sprinkle on top, bake at 375º for 45-55 minutes. Till lightly browned and bubbly.

This recipe was handed down by the Monaghan family and has become a Christmas tradition at the Watson house. I usually make 2 or 3 for our dinner with the Rust and Cox families. If there are any leftovers the kids and I eat them for breakfast.
