2 Tbsp vegetable oil
2 lb boneless, cubed sirloin
3 (15.5 oz.) cans black beans
2 (14.5 oz.) cans chopped green chilies
1 large sweet onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, seeded and diced
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 12oz. can of beer
1 (3.625 oz.) package Chili seasoning kit

*Substitute (2) 1.5oz. packages McCormick Slow Cookers Chili seasoning for Chili seasoning kit

Saute steak in hot vegetable oil in large skillet over med-high heat, 4-5 minutes until browned.

Lightly grease slow cooker. Place steak, black beans, green chilies, onion, bell pepper, garlic and beer in cooker. Stir in chili seasoning kit, leaving out masa and red pepper. *Stir in substituted packages of slow cooker chili seasoning.

Cover, cook on LOW for 8 hours. Serve hot.

Optional toppings: shredded cheese, diced tomato, avocado, sour cream, green onion, cilantro.

Slow cooker or crock pot dish. You can add chili powder to increase spice level to your liking. Otherwise, dish has a mild spice level. Can be frozen, thaw in hot water and reheat in microwave.
