1 cup sugar
1 unbeaten egg white
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 cup boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar,egg white and cream of tartar, add boiling water and beat until with mixer at high speed until stiff-about five minutes- add tsp. vanilla. It will hold shape and not become crusty. Can be stored in refrigerator and is good on puddings, jello and shortcake.
