½ c. butter
¾ c. sugar
2 t. vanilla
1 egg
1 ¾ c. flour
½ t. baking powder
½ t. salt
1 oz. chocolate, melted

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream butter, sugar and vanilla until light. Beat in egg. Sift together dry ingredients and mix into creamed mixture.

2. Divide dough in half. Mix melted chocolate into one half. Wrap both halves in plastic wrap and chill for about 30 minutes. On parchment paper, roll each piece of dough into a 10x12 rectangle. Trim edges. Brush one layer with milk; place other layer on top and roll up tightly. Chill for several hours. Slice very thinly, then bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375 for 8-10 minutes. Makes about 3 dozen.
