2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. margarine or butter
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour cream
1 c. chopped nuts

ICING
1/4 c. real butter
2 c. sifted powdered sugar
enough boiling water to make a spreading consistency

Combine flour, soda, baking powder and salt; set aside. Combine brown sugar and margarine until well blended, add eggs and vanilla and beat until fluffy. Add dry ingredients and sour cream. Stir in nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 350º. Heat in a saucepan 1/4 c. real butter over medium heat until butter turns the color of light brown sugar. Remove from heat and stir in 2 c. sifted powdered sugar. Add enough boiling water to make a smooth icing of spreading consistency. Ice cookies immediately. If icing becomes grainy, add a few drops of hot water.
