Using wooden mallet or the flat size of a broad knife blade, pound the steaks between pieces of pieces of waxed paper until they are about 1/4" thick. In a small saucepan, heat 1 TBSP butter. Add shallots and cook them until lightly browned. Add Worcestershire sauce and heat to boiling. Keep hot. In a large skillet, melt remaining 2 TBSP butter over high heat. When it begins to brown, add steaks. Cook for 3 minutes. Turn and cook 2-3 minutes longer. Add brandy to pan. Very carefully light with a long match, then shake pan until the flames subside.
