3 c. flour (measure before sifting)
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. Wesson oil
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. hot water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cocoa in hot water. Let stand and cool while mixing other ingredients.
Beat eggs, sugar, salt, flour, baking soda, Wesson oil, and buttermilk all at once. Then add vanilla and cocoa mixture and beat. Pour in two oiled and floured cake pans or one square pan. Bake at 300º for 1 hour.
