3/4 cup lard
1 c. sugar
1 c. molasses
1 c. thick sour milk

4 c. flour sifted three times with
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg

2 tbsp. vinegar
Directions:
Directions:
Add lard,sugar,molasses,sour milk mix. add flour mixture and then vinegar. Bake 35 minutes. Fruit and nuts may be added.
