3/4 and 1/2 cup butter/margarine, divided, at room temp
1 1/4 cups sugar, divided
3 cups flour, divided
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3 eggs
4 oz semisweet chocolate, melted
1 tsp vanilla
8 oz Snickers candy bars, cut into small pieces

Preheat oven to 350º. Butter 9X13 baking pan. In bowl with mixer at high speed, beat 3/4 cup butter and 1/2 cup sugar until smooth, @ 2 minutes. Reduce speed to low, beat in 2 cups flour until well combined. Press into bottom of baking pan. Prick all over with a fork. Bake 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool in pan on rack 10 minutes. Combine remaining flour with baking powder and salt. In bowl with mixer at high speed beat remaining sugar and butter until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Beat in eggs, one at a time, until combined. Beat in chocolate until smooth, beat in vanilla. Beat in flour mixture until just combined. Pour batter into pan over crust. Bake 25 minutes. Sprinkle candy pieces over. Bake 10 minutes or until center is just set. Cool completely on pan in rack.
