1 c. boiling water
1 c. All-Bran crumbles or buds
3/4 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. buttermilk
2 c. All-Bran crumbles
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tsp. soda

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over 1 c. bran and raisins, set aside. Mix sugar, shortening, eggs and buttermilk together in mixer; add 2 c. bran. Sift dry ingredients and add to sugar mixture, then add bran and raisins; mix until moist. Store in refrigerator in an air tight container. When ready to use dip out what you need and do not stir the rest. You can cook in microwave or oven. This keeps well up to 4 weeks.
