1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup finely chopped onion
3 eggs
1-1/3 cup milk
1-1/2 lb. ground round
1-1/2 lb. ground pork
1-1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1-1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 tablespoon salt
2 cups finely cubed soft bread crumbs

Melt butter in skillet; add onion and cook over low heat until glazed. Beat eggs and milk together. Lightly mix beef and pork, cooked onion, egg-milk mixture, allspice, nutmeg, salt and breadcrumbs. Chill in refrigerator at least 1 hour before shaping into 1/2 to 3/4 inch balls. Roll balls in dry bread crumbs. Heat oven to 350. Meat balls are best baked in single layer in shallow baking pan. Arrange meat balls in pan and dot in between spaces here and there with some butter and bake 20 minutes. Make stroganoff mix according to package instructions. Pour over baked meat balls and serve.
