2 pkg, strawberries
1. c. sugar
2 T. cornstarch
little water to dilute cornstarch

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and hull the strawberries. Put the small berries in a saucepan. Use 1/2 of the berries. Add enough water to cover the berries. Use a potato masher to smash the berries into the water. Bring the berries and the water to a boil. Add the sugar. Boil slowly until the sauce reduces to just over half. Mix the cornstarch and the water. Pour a little at a time into the boiling sauce. When it is thickening consistency the cornstarch will puddle on the top. Mix constantly to cook the starch out, The color of the berries should be back to its original color when it is finished. Remove from the heat. It will thicken as it cools. Slice the balance of the strawberries into the finished sauce before serving.
