2 pounds baby lima beans
5 carrots, diced
1 cup chopped onions
2 cans tomato soup
2 cans chicken or vegetable broth
1 cup chopped celery
4 pieces thick cut bacon, quartered
water as needed
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Wash beans in warm water and place in 6-quart pot with liquid stock.
Bring to a boil; add bacon.
Return to a boil, lower heat; cover pot with lid leaving space for steam to escape. Simmer for one hour adding hot water as needed to cover beans at least 2 inches.
Add vegetables and soup; return to boil.
Cover the same as before for 45 minutes, adding more water or stock as needed to maintain water level.
