3/4 c. regular or butter flavored Crisco
5 T. ice water

Combine flour and shortening till mixture resembles course crumbs. This is where your mixing is done. (After you add the water you do not want to mix a lot, it makes your crust tough.) Add water and mix till just combined roll out on a well floured surface.

On a fruit pie: spread 2 T. softened butter and dribble 2 T. milk over pie and sprinkle with sugar.

I had 2 different ladies come and teach me to make a pie crust. I think it is good fellowship to ask for help as well as gaining useful skills. There is always someone out there in need of fellowship and someone to learn a skill from.

It is fun to put cut outs on the pie to make it special or you can make a simple shape cut out of the center. Make it beautiful!
