4 c. peeled and sliced apples
2/3 to 3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. oatmeal
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. butter, slightly softened

Directions:
Directions:
Place apples in a slightly greased 9x9 pan. Combine the rest of the ingredients except the butter. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles course crumbs. Sprinkle on top of apples and bake in a 375 º oven for 30 minutes.

When I first met Jeff, he had this recipe from Leslie Wilson and the number of servings read "1 Jeff". This is an easy dessert. When you have huckleberries, toss in a handful and it changes the recipe.
