1 1/2 cups dates
1 cup water

3/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/8 salt
1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/4 cup quick cooking oatmeal

Directions:
Directions:
Combine dates and water, bring to a boil, cook 6-8 minutes.
Grease 9 inch pan.
Combine flour,soda,salt, beat butter and sugar in bowl, add dry ingredients, and beat on low until well blended. Add oats. Pat half of mixture on bottom of pan.
Spread dates on top. Sprinkle rest of oats on top. Bake at 350º for 35-40 minutes.
