peaches (enough to cover bottom of pan)
3 T. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
Topping:
1 c. sugar
3 T. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup boiling water (if using canned peaches you can use juice)

Directions:
Directions:
Place peaches in bottom of 9x9 pan. Mix butter and sugar. Mix in flour, baking powder and salt. Add milk and mix. Pour batter over peaches. Mix remaining sugar, cornstarch and salt. Spread over batter. Top with boiling water and dot with additional butter. Bake at 375º for 30 minutes then reduce heat to 350º for an additional 30 minutes.
