Personal Notes:
This has to be the easiest and best tasting chocolate cake of all time! This is a staple dessert at the Watson house. It is easy to overcook so watch it close. It is not nearly as good if you overcook this cake. Grease and flour your pan well and it will come out easily. We prefer this cake with the sour cream frosting but if you are in a hurry, the powdered sugar is pretty. You can also turn this recipe into a coconut cake by using a white cake mix, coconut pudding, white chocolate chips and adding 1 t. coconut extract and coconut frosting. The coconut version is fun at Christmas, add peppermint sprinkles on frosting.
