2 1/2 cups sugar
2/3cup white corn syrup
1/2 cup water
2 egg whites
1/4 tea salt
3/4 cup chopped nuts or coconut
1 tea vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Butter 2 cookie sheets.Combine sugar,syrup and water in pan.Stir and cook over low heat until melted.Cover and cook i minute then uncover and cook without stirring until thermometer reaches 265 degrees.When almost done,beat egg whites and salt until stiff peaks.Slowly pour syrup in and continue beating until no longer shiny.If too thick add a couple or so of boiling water.Beat in nuts and vanilla and drop at once by teaspoonful onto buttered pan
