1/2 C. unsalted butter
4 ozs. Unsweetened chocolate, cut up
6 Tbsp. coffee liqueur
3/4 C. granulated sugar
4 eggs
1 1/3 C. flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1 C. blanched almonds, finely ground

In a small saucepan, combine butter and chocolate; heat and stir over low heat until melted. Remove from heat; stir in coffee liqueur; set aside. In a large bowl, combine granulated sugar and eggs; beating with an electric mixer until combined. Stir chocolate mixture into egg mixture. In a small bowl, stir together flour and baking powder; add to chocolate-egg mixture, stirring until combined. Stir in almonds. Cover dough and chill about 1 hour or until firm. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Divide dough in half; refrigerate one portion. Form remaining potion into 1-inch balls. Roll balls into powdered sugar, coating well. Place balls 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 13 minutes or until firm. Transfer cookies to wire racks and cool. Repeat with remaining dough. Makes about 60 cookies.
