Directions:
To make original recipe:
Melt butter in 1 cup water over medium heat; cool. Dissolve yeast in ½ cup water and add to cooled butter mixtures. Add next 4 ingredients. Mix together, adding enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead for a couple of minutes. Let rise and cut in 4” squares.

To make dough in the bread machine:
Melt butter in microwave. Put yeast in the bottom of bread machine. Add flour, sugar and salt. Place water, butter and beaten eggs on top of mixture. Use bread dough cycle and start bread machine.

Brown hamburger; pour off excess fat. Add water, seasonings, and cabbage and simmer 15 to 20 minutes, or until cabbage is tender. Place hamburger-cabbage mixture down center of squares of dough. Fold over each side to enclose meat and pinch ends together. Let rise until double. Bake at 350 until lightly browned.
