Crust:
2 cups Flour
1 tsp. Baking Powder
½ cup Milk
2/3 cup Shortening
½ tsp. Salt

4 Apples
8 tsp. Sugar
Cinnamon

Sauce:
1 stick Butter or Margarine
1 cup Sugar
2 cups Water

Preheat Oven to 400º

Directions:
Directions:
Crust: Sift dry ingredients and cream into shortening. Add milk and work into smooth paste. Roll into 8 balls, roll out thin. (Doubling crust recipe makes 3 pie crusts).

Place ½ peeled and cored apples in the middle of the dough. Put 1 tsp. sugar and dash of cinnamon. Pinch the dough together after pulling it up around the apple.

Sauce: Combine sauce ingredients together in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour over the apples.

Bake 30 minutes at 400º.
