1 c butter
½ c sugar
1 ½ c brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c flour
1 ts baking soda
½ ts salt
1 ½ ts vanilla
2 c rolled oats
1 c flaked coconut
1 12 oz package choc chips

Cream butter, sugars. Add eggs and beat well. Mix in remaining ingredients. Drop by spoonfuls onto baking sheet and bake at 350º for 15 min.

Philosophy: I don’t think plain chocolate chip cookies need any modification (Grandma knows this) but once and awhile, we make this variation. The coconut and oatmeal give them a chunkier texture.
