3/4 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
3 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

FROSTING
3oz. cream cheese
1/4 cup butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, sugar, and egg. Add sour cream and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients together and sift. Mix all ingredients together and set in refrigerator over night or at least for 8 hours.
Take 1 spoonful of dough, make into a ball. Roll in sugar. Put on UNGREASED cookie sheet. Press down flat with bottom of glass dipped in sugar.
Bake 375º for 10 minutes

Frost cookies when cool.

This cookie recipe was given to me by a lady from church. Katelyn likes them so well; I renamed them to KATELYN'S COOKIES.
