1/4 cup shortening
1/4 cup +2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 egg
1/2 cup flour unsifted
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/s tsp cinnamon
1 tablespoon sugar
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cream shortening and sugar. mix egg into creamed mixture. In a bowl, mix flour, cream of tartar and baking soda. Add with mixture and stir until fine dough. Roll into 1 inch balls. Mix cinnamon and sugar in a bowl and roll dough in cinnamon sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes. Make about 15 cookies.
