8 slices white bread cubed
1/4 lb. cheddar cheese shredded
1 1/2 lbs. link sausage cooked and cubed
4 eggs
2 1/2 c. milk
3/4 T. mustard
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Directions:
Directions:
Grease 13 x 9 inch pan. Layer bread, cheese, and sausage. Mix eggs, milk, and mustard. Pour over other ingredients. (This much may be done the day before.) Mix 1 can of cream of mushroom soup with 1/4 cup water. Spoon over casserole. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 350º.

This was a Christmas morning favorite in the Slaughter family for many years. Debbie made it one year and did not precook the sausage. The whole house filled with smoke as it cooked.
