1 6 oz. box Uncle Ben's long-grain and wild rice
1 lb. pork sausage
1 lb. ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
8 oz. sliced fresh mushrooms
8 oz. can sliced water chestnuts
1/3 C chopped fresh parsley
3 T soy sauce
1 2.25 oz. package slivered almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Cook rice according to package directions. Cook sausage and ground beef in large skillet until it crumbles and is no longer pink. Drain and pat dry with paper towels. Cook onion and mushrooms in same skillet until tender. Combine rice, sausage and beef, onion and mushrooms, water chestnuts, parsley and soy sauce; stir well. Spoon mixture into ungreased 13 x 9 baking dish. Bake at 350º for 20 minutes or until thoroughly heated. You can prepare, cover and refrigerate overnight if you desire, then heat.
