2 pkgs dry yeast
1/4 cup lukewarm water
1 cup milk (whole milk best)
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup shortening (Crisco)
2 eggs
5 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Soften yeast in water. Set aside.
Scald the milk. Add sugar, salt, & shortening. Cool to lukewarm.
Add flour to the milk, make a thick batter. Mix well.
Add the soft yeast & eggs. Beat well.
Add enough more flour to make soft dough.
Turn out on lightly floured board and knead until smooth & silky.
Place in greased bowl. Cover & let rise until double in size.
Punch down & let rest 10 minutes.
Roll out on floured counter or board. Rectangle.
Sprinkle with cinnamon & brown sugar. Roll up into roll.
Cut about inch thick. (about 3 doz.)
Place in greased 9"x13" pan. Cover & let rise again.
Bake at 350* for about 30 minutes. Keep watch! Light golden brown.

Frost with powdered sugar frosting.
