¼ cup minced onions
½ cup butter
½ lb. mushrooms, sliced
1 lb. round steak
2 tablespoons flour
½ teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon tomato paste (or ketchup)
½ cup consommé (1 beef bouillon cube)
½ cup dry white wine
½ cup sour cream

Saute onions in butter. Add mushrooms and continue cooking for 5 minutes. Remove onions and mushrooms to a bowl. Cut steak into strips and brown in same skillet over low heat. Blend flour into fat left in pan. Add seasonings, onions, mushrooms, tomato paste, consommé and white wine. Simmer gently for 1 hour until meat is tender. Just before serving, stir in sour cream. Heat, do not boil. Serve over rice or broad noodles.
