2 c. all-purpose flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. hard shortening
2/3 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Cut in shortening. Add the milk until the mixture forms a ball. Knead lightly. Roll about 3/4-1" thick, cut out, bake at 400-425ºF for 15 minutes.
Makes about -10 biscuits

Drop Biscuits: add more liquid. If you have cream, omit shortening and use cream in place of shortening and milk.
