2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. shortening
1 c. water & 1 c. milk (warm) combined
2 tbsp. cooking molasses (put into milk)
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 1/2 c. whole wheat flour


2 tsp. instant yeast

Directions:
Directions:
Put all ingredients in a bread machine in order given. Put on dough setting. When risen , turn out on bread board, punch down,knead until smooth;let rest for 10 mi. to make for easier handling . Roll out like a jelly roll.
Place in two greased loaf pans
Let rise for about an hour, until
double in bulk
Bake at 400' for 25 min.
Turn out of pans immediately, brush with butter.
