1 large onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
4 Tbsp. olive oil
2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups water
1 cup (8 oz.) sour cream
1 (4-5 lb.) chicken, cut up
1 Tbsp. AP flour
2 Tbsp. paprika
1 tsp. pepper

Dumplings: (optional)
3 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. salt
3 cups AP flour
1/2 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
In a deep skillet over medium heat, brown onion and garlic in oil.. Add the chicken and brown it on all sides (about 10 minutes). Sprinkle paprika, pepper and salt on the chicken. Turn the meat once. Add water, cover and simmer on low heat for approximately 30 minutes or until meat is tender. Remove chicken from the liquid.
In a small bowl, mix the sour cream, flour and 1 cup of the hot liquid from the chicken until smooth. Pour the mixture back into the skillet and blend with the remaining liquid.
Add the chicken back into the sauce, and the dumplings if desired and heat through.
Dumplings: Blend the eggs, salt, flour and water in a small bowl. Drop the batter by teaspoonfuls into boiling water. Cook for about 10 minutes and drain. Rinse with cold water and drain again before adding to the chicken dish.
