2 lbs raisins
1 lb figs
1 lb chopped mixed peel
1/2 lb glazed cherries
1 lb walnuts
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup honey
5 eggs
2 cups sifted flour
1/2 tsp soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 cup orange juice
1 cup jam

Directions:
Wash and dry raisins, remove stems from figs. Put raisins, figs and mixed peel through food chopper (although maybe not the peel).
Cut cherries, break walnuts into small pieces. Sift and measure flour, and remove 1 1/4 cups to combine with fruit and nuts until they are covered.
Cream butter, gradually add sugar, and then add honey and eggs.
Sift together the remaining 3/4 cup flour, soda, salt and spices.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with orange juice and jam. Mix until well blended.

Bake 2 1/2 hours at about 350ºF.
